The Kearney Jaycees co-hosts the annual Cottontail Scramble in conjunction with Kearney Parks and Recreation. Hundreds of pounds of candy are scattered throughout the park for area children each year. While the scramble for candy only lasts minutes, the anticipation starts hours before.
